About the artist
By the age of six Langley was drawing paper dolls and horses. By junior high and high school she was creating posters, parade floats, stage sets and a yearbook. It was in college that she began the serious study of painting, first at the University of Alabama and then at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.
After college, she pursued other passions, raising two children and immersing herself in the creative side of advertising as an award-winning writer and producer. Years later, as an empty-nester, she returned to her love of painting, fleeing city life for an inspiring change of habitat, the wooded shores of Alabama’s beautiful Lake Martin. In the home and studio she designed herself she finds endless renewal of her creative spirit. Langley’s work has won a succession of awards and is part of numerous corporate and private collections.
